Term 3 start dates, show helpers, new students
Our term 3 starts Monday 31 July.
TERM 3 FEES $95:
If you are staying in the same class you do not need to re-enrol in term three. We will assume you are returning UNLESS you let us know.
In term 3 we collect the costume fees for the show (Sat 2nd December, John Paul College) as we are already purchasing costumes.
For those taking Hip Hop classes please add $45 per costume to your term three fees.
For those in Contemporary and Jazz, please add $55 per costume to your term three fees.
If any adult groups perform in shows, they will source their own costumes (the teacher will discuss this with you).
Note that, as well as the cost of the costume these charges include a sourcing fee and a contribution towards make-up, hairspray, hair clips etc. The costume is yours to keep after the shows.
Some classes may have an additional cost for shoes - eg. Jazz students will require jazz shoes. We will let you know closer to the show if your group requires shoes.
Please let us know if your child is not performing in the shows. If we haven't been advised that your child is not performing and we have already purchased their costume, you will be required to pay for it (and can, of course, keep it).

If the answer to your question is not there, we may well not know the answer either at this early stage. These FAQs will be continually updated as we work through our show planning.
We will be closing our classes to new students on 25 August 2017 because of the emphasis on the shows.
The children are already well on the way to learning their routines for the show and it is not fair on them or the newcomer to have to wait while someone new catches up. The exception is the 3-5 year old classes because these groups are not performing in the shows (so can enrol at any time for the rest of the year).
BACKSTAGE HELPERS AT THE SHOWS
It take a community to raise a child and an army to run a dance production! We couldn't put on a great show without a large number of volunteers. Please let us know if you can help backstage for the show.
Remember however it will mean you won't be able to watch the show (but you may prefer to be backstage anyway). You may even be able to help with hair and make up before the show starts, and then watch the show.
Also if anyone has any experience in operating lighting we would love to hear from you!
Please email us asap if you are able to help as we are already working on show logistics.
We will take your name and contact you closer to the time with an specifically allocated job - eg. looking after certain groups backstage, hair/make up etc (let us know if you have any preferences/experience in certain backstage jobs).

You don’t need to let us know if you/your child will be away for a class. Please just let us know if they will be away for 3 weeks or longer (broken arm etc).
Please do not contact us about lost property at the studio as our office is not located at the studio. Please check the 'lost property' box the next time you are there.

MONDAY 16 OCTOBER - our term 4 starts - 6 classes at your normal venue plus:
SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER - 12pm - 4pm Show rehearsal
SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER - 9am - 9pm Show rehearsal and Show night
