COMPETITIVE HIP HOP CREW AUDITIONS!!
THIS SUNDAY 5th NOVEMBER 2.00pm
Where: Rise Dance Company, Level 2, 1179 Eruera Street, Rotorua
Rise Dance Company invites varsity aged students to audition for a chance to be a part of our 2018 Varsity Hip Hop Crew.
You must be minimum age of 13 but no older than 17 at the 31st December 2017.
Students will be taught a dance and will perform it back to the teacher in groups. No spectators, please.
$5 per dancer audition fee, cash only.
You don't have to currently dance at Rise to be eligible to audition. Register on arrival.
The Rotorua Show is on 2nd December, 6 pm at John Paul College

We have a compulsory show REHEARSAL for all dancers at John Paul College on SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER. Each group is to arrive at a different time - check here for your time:

COSTUMES will be given out at this rehearsal (to those who have paid their costume and class fees).
There is a second compulsory rehearsal for all dancers at John Paul College on the day of the show (Sat 2 Dec). EVERYONE is to be there from 10.30am-12.30pm, please.

SHOW TICKETS:
$15 adults (16 years or over), $10 child (under 16).
Tickets will be available at the Saturday rehearsal at John Paul College on Saturday 18 November. There will also be door sales on show day, 2nd December, from 10am until show time at John Paul College. Cash or Eftpos will be available.
Last year we sold out so we can't guarantee door sales - get in quick!
BACKSTAGE HELPERS AT THE SHOWS:
It takes a community to raise a child and an army to run a dance production! We couldn't put on a great show without a large number of volunteers.
Please let us know if you can help backstage for the show.
Remember however it will mean you won't be able to watch the show (but you may prefer to be backstage anyway). You may even just be able to help with hair and makeup a couple of hours before the show starts, and then watch the show.
Please email us asap if you are able to help as we are already working on show logistics.
We will take your name and contact you with your specifically allocated role - eg. looking after children backstage, ushering kids from the holding room to the stage, hair/makeup etc (let us know if you have any preferences/experience in certain backstage jobs).
COSTUME AND TERM 4 FEES DUE:
Costume fees (if you haven't already paid):
Hip Hop classes - $45 per costume
Contemporary and Jazz classes - $55 per costume
(Please note, no one will be given their costume if they have outstanding term or costume fees).
Please let us know if your child is not performing in the shows. If we haven't been advised that your child is not performing,as we have already purchased their costume, you will be required to pay for it (and can, of course, keep it).
Term 4 class fees:
45 minute classes - $95 (LIL HOPPERS,HIP HOP,JAZZ AND CONTEMPORARY)
1 hour classes - $120 (CREW CLASS)

ABSENCES
You don’t need to let us know if you/your child will be away for a class. Please just let us know if they will be away for 3 weeks or longer (broken arm etc).
LOST PROPERTY
Please do not contact us regarding the lost property at the studios. You can look for it in the 'lost property' box when you are next there.

THURSDAY 23 NOVEMBER - Last Dance classes for the term (except for Mondays)
MONDAY 27 NOVEMBER- Last Monday classes (make up for Monday 23 October)
SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER - Morning show rehearsal at John Paul College (everybody arrives 10.30am)
SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER - Rotorua Showcase at John Paul College (Show starts at 6 pm)
