SUNDAY REHEARSAL
We have our first Sunday rehearsal at Merivale Action Centre THIS Sunday (30th October).
Merivale School, Kesteven Ave (off Fraser St), Merivale.

Sunday rehearsal times
Children are to be dropped off and picked up at the advertised times. Please no parents or siblings, unless your child is in one of our Hoppers (5 year old) groups.
Feel free to come to the front desk to drop off your children and clarify anything but then come back at the correct pick up time.
It is a big day and your cooperation with this will assist us in running a smooth, distraction free rehearsal.
At the Sunday rehearsals we will be selling a limited number of $5 WHITE canvas shoes (there seems to be plenty of black at the stores).
We also have some Rise hoodies on sale for $25.
We will have an eft pos machine there but it can be temperamental so cash is preferred.

Thank you to those who got back to us regarding the show runsheet. We have made some alterations so please check these again to make sure that your child has at least 3 other dances in between each of their dances (to allow enough time for costume changes).

THE SCHOOLS SHOWCASE FEATURES NOT ONLY OUR SCHOOL GROUPS BUT ALSO OUR GROUPS WHO HAVE BEEN COMPETING ALL YEAR....
For those wanting to watch our crews perform, please note that they will feature in the 10am Schools' showcase (not the 2pm or 6.30pm shows).
We encourage students in the 2pm and 6.30pm shows to watch the Schools & Crews showcase at 10am and also encourage our SCHOOL students to go along and watch one of the later shows. Just to clarify, students watching any show will need to purchase a ticket.

Please double check which show your child is performing in before purchasing your tickets as there are two different shows:
Schools show - 10.00am (this showcases our school groups as well as our 2016 competitive groups)
Public shows - 2.00pm and 6.30pm (identical shows)

THIS Saturday 29 October
Mount Studio, level 2, 416 Maunganui Road
2-3pm Juniors (must be no older than 12 years old by 31 December this year)
3-4pm Varsity (is 13 years old by 31 December this year and no older than 17 on 31 December this year).
$5 audition fee payable in cash on the day
Dancers will be taught a short dance and will then perform it in groups.
No spectators/parents in the auditions. Auditions are open to everyone, you don't have to currently dance with Rise.
We are looking for 2x junior crews, 2 varsity crews and 2 development crews (one junior and one varsity).
Every one must audition and there is no preference given to those who were in Rise crews this year.
Crews are chosen with the following in mind:
Capability; attitude; versatility; performance skill and a good fit with the other members of the crew. We will also take in to consideration the attitude, work ethic, dedication and reliability of current students in class/crews.

MONDAY 14 NOVEMBER - Last day of tem 4 for most classes
FRIDAY 18 NOVEMBER - Tauranga show rehearsals at Baycourt Theatre
SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER - Tauranga shows at Baycourt Theatre
