Rise Dance Update - Tauranga

TERM 3 ENDING:
Term 3 finishes next week (19-23 September) with the exception of Boys' Only which finishes this Sunday 18 September.
TERM 4 STARTS:
Term 4 starts the week beginning Sunday 9 October and comprises 5 weeks at your normal dance venue plus two Sunday rehearsals and one Friday rehearsal (only for 5 year olds and over):
Sunday 30th October: Rehearsal at Merivale Action Centre
Sunday 13th November: Rehearsal at Merivale Action Centre (see below for times).
Friday 18 November: After-School rehearsal Baycourt Theatre. Times to be advised.

TERM 4 FEES:
Term 4 fees (for the over 5 year old classes) are the same as you paid in term 3:
- a class at a primary or intermediate school - $75
- a Hoppers (5 year olds) class - $95
- a hip hop class - $95 (this does not include the boys only class or technique class)
- a jazz class - $95
- a 45 minute per week contemp class - $95
- a 60 minute contemp or hip hop class - $120
- the Boys' only class - $120
- beginners' acro class - $120
- intermediate acro - $150
- advanced acro - $175
Exception to above:
Kerrin's Wednesday adult contemp class who pay $59.38 for 5 classes from 19th October.
Phebe's Lil Hoppers Mount Maunganui class on Tuesday who pay $71.25 for 6 classes from 11th October.
COSTUME FEE:
If you have not yet paid your show costume fee, please do so immediately to avoid your child not receiving a costume and subsequently not being able to perform.
Please contact our office if you are not sure how much to pay (although this information is contained in earlier newsletters which you can go back and read at any time under the NEWS tab on our home page).
UNDER 5's CLASSES (Little Luvlies):
The under 5's have a six week term in term Four so their last class will be during the week of 14-18 November.
The under 5's do not perform in the shows.
Term 4 fees for the under 5’s are $67.50 for the 6 week term.
If you are an existing student, you do not need to enrol; please deposit the relevant fee to:

Holiday Programme 26 September to 7 October:
It is not too late to enrol in our dance-based school holiday programme operating out of Otumoetai Primary School hall, Tauranga.
We have lots of different activities including crafts, a variety of dance styles, singing, outdoor activities and games. Come and have some fun with our dance teachers!
$40 per day from 8.00am-5.30pm.

SILVER FERNS VS JAMAICA NETBALL GAME IN ROTORUA (Sat 17 September):
If you're going to the game look out for our Rise Dancers performing just before the game starts and also at half time (or watch at on sky).
SAFETY MESSAGE:
We have had one of our dancers that was waiting to be picked up at our Mount studio approached by an unknown teenager stating he was there to pick her up. The police are aware of the incident and will be making some checks but please ask your children to wait at the top of the stairwell and pick them up from there.
As teachers are busy teaching their next class they are unable to take care of children who's parents are not on time to pick them up. Please remind your children however if they ever need anything there is always a teacher there that they can approach.
This safety message is relevant to all studios.

Please double check which show your dancer is performing in before purchasing your tickets as there are two different shows.
Schools show - 10.00am (this showcases our school groups as well as our 2016 competition groups)
Public shows - 2.00pm and 6.30pm (identical shows)

FRIDAY 23 SEPTEMBER - our term 3 dance classes finish
26 SEP-7 OCT - School Holidays (no dance classes but holiday programme operating in Tauranga)
MONDAY 24 OCTOBER - Labour Day. Monday classes will finish 14 November to get 5 weeks in at usual venue
MONDAY 10 OCTOBER - our term 4 dance classes start ( 5 weeks at usual venue) plus:
SUNDAY 30 OCTOBER- Tauranga Show rehearsals Merivale Action Centre
SUNDAY 13 NOVEMBER - Tauranga Show rehearsals Merivale Action Centre
