Term 3 ends, term 4 dates, show rehearsal dates and times
Term 3 dance classes have now ended (no classes next week (last week of the school holidays)).
OUR TERM 4 CLASSES START BACK ON MONDAY 16 OCTOBER (the FIRST week of the school term).
Please note there are NO CLASSES on Monday 23rd October due to Queens birthday. These classes will be made up on 20th November.
THE LAST DAY OF TERM 4 CLASSES IS 27 NOVEMBER.
There are two show rehearsals at John Paul College on Saturday afternoon 18 November and Saturday morning 2 December with the show being that evening, see below for details....
SHOW REHEARSALS:
SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER - Rehearsal John Paul College, 1.00- 4.00pm:

SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER- Morning rehearsal John Paul College - ALL DANCERS REQUIRED FROM 10:30am-12:30pm.
All dancers are required to attend the rehearsals on BOTH days.
At these rehearsals, we map out the size of the actual stage so we can work on spacing etc.
The Saturday 18th November rehearsal is also where we give out the costumes for the shows.
COSTUME FEE NOW DUE AND TERM 4 FEES PAYABLE TO:
Costume fees (if you haven't already paid):
Hip Hop classes - $45 per costume
Contemporary and Jazz classes - $55 per costume
(Please note, no one will be handed their costume if they have outstanding term fees or costume fees!)
Shoe requirements will be sent out in the next newsletter.
Please let us know if your child is not performing in the shows. If we haven't been advised that your child is not performing and we have already purchased their costume, you will be required to pay for it (and can, of course, keep it).
Term 4 class fees:
45 minute classes - $95 (LIL HOPPERS,HIP HOP,JAZZ AND CONTEMPORARY)
1 hour classes - $120 (CREW CLASS)

When and Where is the showcase?
The Rise Dance Company Rotorua Showcase is to be held on the 2nd December at the John Paul College at 6 pm.
Where do I get the tickets and how much are they?
Tickets are $15 adults, $10 child (under 16). Tickets will be available at the Saturday rehearsal at John Paul College on Saturday 18 November. There will also be door sales on show day, 2 December at John Paul College. Cash or Eftpos will be available.

Available for sale at the Saturday rehearsals and on the show day! Cash or Eftpos will be available.
Q: Are you recording this show and are we able to get copies?
A: No not this year. We will be allowing the audience to use a small hand-held device for recording purposes – as long as it doesn’t distract other audience members by displaying light etc. No photographing is permitted. We have professional photographers taking photos and you can order directly from their website after the shows.
BACKSTAGE HELPERS AT THE SHOWS
It takes a community to raise a child and an army to run a dance production! We couldn't put on a great show without a large number of volunteers. Please let us know if you can help backstage for the show.
Remember however it will mean you won't be able to watch the show (but you may prefer to be backstage anyway). You may even be able to help with hair and makeup before the show starts and then watch the show.
Also if anyone has any experience in operating lighting we would love to hear from you!
Please email us asap if you are able to help as we are already working on show logistics.
We will take your name and contact you with your specifically allocated job - eg. looking after certain groups backstage, hair/makeup etc (let us know if you have any preferences/experience in certain backstage jobs).
ABSENCES
You don’t need to let us know if you/your child will be away for a class. Please just let us know if they will be away for 3 weeks or longer (broken arm etc).
LOST PROPERTY
Please do not contact us regarding any lost property at the studios. You can look for it in the 'lost property' box when you are next there.
