THE SCHOOLS SHOWCASE FEATURES NOT ONLY OUR SCHOOL GROUPS BUT ALSO OUR GROUPS WHO HAVE BEEN COMPETING ALL YEAR...
For those wanting to watch our crews perform, please note that they will feature in the 10 am Schools' showcase (not the 2 pm or 6.30pm shows). We encourage students in the 2 pm and 6.30pm shows to watch the Schools & Crews showcase at 10 am and also encourage our SCHOOL students to go along and watch one of the later shows. Just to clarify, students watching any show will need to purchase a ticket.
THIS IS FOLLOWED BY TWO IDENTICAL PUBLIC CLASSES SHOWCASES AT 2-PM AND 6.30-PM
This is for those who dance at one of our studios or public venues at the Mount, Papamoa, Historic village, St Georges Church and Elizabeth Street Venues. All students in these shows perform at both 2 pm and 6.30pm and most classes perform twice in both the first and second half with the exception of lil hoppers, adults and acro.

WHERE DO I GET TICKETS?
Tickets for the Tauranga shows can now be purchased online at http://premier.ticketek.co.nz/shows/show.aspx?sh=RISEDANC17 and from Baycourt Theatre itself. Service fees apply if you buy online. Be sure to purchase your ticket early as shows often sell out.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Please click here for more answers to other questions you may have: http://risedance.nz/news/tauranga-show-faqs
Q: Do I have to collect my child in between the two public shows?
A: There is no (or just a little) turn around time between the two public shows and the children need to be available for hair and makeup touch-ups etc. So, children stay in the Green Room backstage between shows. Please pack a lunchbox dinner for them. Some dancers may be able to have a quick catch-up and snack with parents on the lawn at Baycourt if the weather is fine. Most children are happy and excited to be waiting in the Green Room. They are with their mates, some play cards, others watch the show on the Green Room screen. While the show is not being streamed live we put on DVDs for the children to watch. They need plenty of snacks to keep them going. There are toilets and a place to fill up their water bottles.
Q: If my child is performing in the first half, can they come and watch the show with me in the 2nd half?
A: Yes, they can but you will need to have purchased a child's ticket for them. The shows have sold out in previous years meaning a full theatre and it is against fire regulations to have children on knees or stairs. If your child is performing in the 2nd half they will not be able to watch the first half with you as they will be required backstage for when their group is called to have hair and make-up done. Keep in mind that we will have a screen backstage where the children can watch the show live and that most children want to remain backstage to share the excitement with their friends.
